It has been a tough year. While Gov. Sam Brownback celebrates a victory, the truth is that there are no winners. His reckless fiscal policies have bankrupted our state and mortgaged our children’s future. No amount of Brownback spin or selective memory will change that reality.
History will not be kind to Brownback or his legislative allies. Neither can we be. The Kansas Values Institute will continue to hold Brownback — and his allies in the legislature — accountable for their devastating and fiscally irresponsible polices.
We’ll stay and continue the fight because this is our home ... where we raise our families, work, and worship. The fight for the future of Kansas has never been about one person, one election, or one policy. It is, instead, about the Kansas values we share. A commitment to our kids, their schools, and our economy.
The truth is, we are just getting started. In the coming months, we’ll remain in touch with you about the Kansas Values Institute’s strategy for ensuring that Kansas is the best place to live, work and raise a family. You are a part of that strategy, and we thank you for your interest, your passion, and your involvement.
On behalf of the Kansas Values Institute’s board of directors and the entire team, I wish you and your family a very safe and very happy holiday season. We have much to be thankful for, and at the top of that list is you.
Blessings to you,
Ryan Wright, executive director
